BCE was started as an experimental project, a solo expedition in 2019 by the host and Co-founder Bishwajit Bezbaruah a.k.a JITda.
A break to explore his motherland after a long gap of 12 years working in metro cities.
The month-long solo cycling expedition from Sadia in the easternmost part of Assam to Dhubri, the westernmost part of Assam was not only exciting but turned out to be rewarding too.
After documenting different areas, and interacting with several people and tribal communities,new possibilities started emerging.
These brought a massive change in his outlook toward exploration.
Eventually, love for cycling grew deeper.
Thus, the cycling tourism initiative “Brahmaputra Cycling Expedition” began, to explore the possibilities of integrating the rural part of Assam in the tourism framework through cycling.
